This is to inform the general public that  Bayero University, Kano  has scheduled its 2023/2024 post utme screening exercise for candidates who made the University their first choice in the 2023 University Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry.

Note: BUK Post UTME Screening Exercise Registration will commence on Monday, 3rd August 2023.

BUK Post Utme 2023/2024 ELIGIBILITY

All candidates who chose the University as their first choice in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and made the cut-off marks published below are eligible for 2023/2024 Academic Session post-UTME Screening Exercise.

BUK Post UTME Cut-Off Marks.

The cut-off marks for the various Faculties /Programmes are as stated below:

BUK POST UTME REGISTRATION PROCEDURE | HOW TO APPLY

APPLY HERE

1. Go to BUK 2023/2024 Post UTME registration portal.
2. Login using your UTME Number and UTME Aggregate (total score), then upload your passport-sized photograph. Note that the photograph uploaded will be only valid ID for all admitted candidates throughout their stay in Bayero University, Kano
3. Fill-in the Applicants’ Particulars Form
4. Ensure to upload your O’level results on the JAMB website
5. Print your personalized RRR payment invoice to make the payment ofN2,000.00 at any commercial bank nationwide via the Remita platform
6. After making the payment, return to the website, www.buk.edu.ng and login again. Your payment will be validated after which you can print your personalized acknowledgment slip. Preview and confirm your information before printing your acknowledgement slip.

Note that applicants cannot print their acknowledgement slip until payment is processed and verified.

ANY CANDIDATE WHO FAILS TO REGISTER FOR THE SCREENING EXERCISE WITHIN THE STIPULATED DATE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

CLOSING DATE: The Payment for the registration will start from Monday 8th July, 2023 – Friday 2nd August, 2023. Portal for registration and printing of acknowledgment slip will be closed by midnight of 11th August 2023.

Note that the schedule (Venue and Time) of the BUK Aptitude Test will be communicated to you using the phone number and/or e-mail address (used in JAMB registration) you supplied in your profile update.

Also note that blind, deaf and foreign candidates are exempted from the aptitude test. However, they need to register online.

ANY CANDIDATE WHO FAILS TO REGISTER FOR THE SCREENING EXERCISE WITHIN THE STIPULATED DATE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

NOTE: JAMB O’LEVEL REQUIREMENT:

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has indicated that it would not clear any shortlisted candidate who does not have ‘O Level results. All candidate therefore, are advised to visit anyJAMB Office or accredited CBT centrenearest to them to upload their O level results (WAEC, NECO, etc.).

Even candidates who do not satisfy the University screening conditions below are advised to provide the details for consideration by other institutions. (Note that supplying false information will result in disqualification). You are allowed to supply a maximum of two different O’ Level examination results.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SCREENING EXERCISE

The following are the BUK POST UTME screening details for 2023/2024 academic session;

• Any candidate who fails to complete the online screening will automatically forfeit the chance of being considered for admission.
• Withholding information or provision of wrong information will lead to instant disqualification.
• Offenders shall be handed over to the law enforcement agents for prosecution in addition to being disqualified.
• Candidates are required to upload their current passport photographs.
• Candidates’ results will be screened according to the entry requirements of the respective programmes that they have chosen.

2023/2024 Post Utme RESTRICTIONS

• Only bona fide candidates/candidates scheduled for the day’s examination and time shall be allowed into the University / Examination Hall.
• Parents and guardians are, therefore, strongly advised against attempting to enter the University Campus as security will be tight.
• No GSM handsets, scientific calculators or any other extraneous materials shall be allowed into
  the examination hall
• Candidates who did not register online will not be allowed for the screening exercise.
• The University will not be liable for any payment made with wrong JAMB registration number at the Bank.
• The University shall also not be liable for any fraudulent payments made anywhere that is not in line with the directives of the University.
